Going Vogue. Living Vogue. Being Vogue.

As a 16 year old living outside of Washington, D.C., I am eager to express myself in a world of emerging fashion and conservative style. “Over the years I have learned that what is important in a dress is the woman who is wearing it.” – Yves Saint Laurent

Valentino Resort 2013

Time after time I find myself falling in love with Valentino’s latest collections. I love how the classic label manages to stay true to its roots, as well as keeping up with the latest trends (see the green open back dress), all while managing to keep things frilly and fun. This resort collection in particular showcases one of my favorite silhouettes: the 60’s swing dress. This collection included all things Valentino: tulle gowns, princess silhouettes, flared skirts, and multi-hued floral prints.

We imagined a playful and optimistic collection, using color as a structural, rather than decorative, elements – Maria Grazia Chiuri, creative director of Valentino

The Best of Diane Kruger

Diane Kruger has always been a style icon of mine. She always seems to dazzle with me with her perfectly put together looks and ensembles. With a style that favors vintage-inspired dresses and a tendency to choose a monochrome or blush-coloured palettes for her red carpet appearances, Kruger has become a quick favorite of Karl Lagerfeld and Chanel.

Best Looks

There doesn’t seem to be anything that she can’t wear, easing seamlessly from her laid back day time style into a goddess on the red carpet. This fashion forward screen siren is our latest go to girl for fashion inspiration with the perfect mix of high fashion and girl next door glamour.

Oscar de la Renta Fall 2012

We saw a lot of icy blues and pale pinks that populated Oscar de la Renta’s Fall 2012 collection. There were full-skirted ballerina dresses and voluminous ball gowns, the pastel hues were everywhere! Other than pastels, de la Renta’s main focus this season was embellishment . The embellishments came in every shape and style. Glittering stones were worked onto the sleeves of cashmere cardigans, fox fur lined the hems of pants, and lace dressed collars. Even the models’ headbands, belts, and shoes were done up in an eye-popping array of jewels.

“I used a lot of colors you would not associate with Winter colors, but today’s woman doesn’t dress for seasons,”  – Oscar de la Renta

Missoni x Converse

Spring footwear has finally arrived! The long-awaited Missoni and Converse collaboration is finally here. You can now buy Chuck Taylor’s with the signature Missoni chevron print, available in an array of colors. The shoes come in three colorways: white, pale green, and navy blue. The green and white women’s styles hint at the traditional Missoni chevron, while the blue unisex version features a haphazard woven effect. All three styles are available for $200. They are available from  JeffreyFred Segal, andAloha Rag — as well as on the Converse website.

Trend Report

Top Shop – Purple Lace Dress. Marc Jacobs – Clutch. Milly – Print Dress. Zara – Pleated Dress. ASOS – Spike Heels. J Brand Denim – Lavender Skinnies.  J Crew – Chino Short.

Summer calls upon colorful, cool silhouettes, and I’m quite taken with pastel at the moment. I have never imagined that pastels could feel so chic, but the pretty tones have been spotted on the runways at Phillip Lim and Louis Vuitton. The soft hues are feeling much more fashion-friendly — especially when you consider the latest looks from our favorite style setters. In gorgeous mint greens, pale blues, and muted pinks, the fashion crowd is quickly making a case to embrace the fresh hues on, well, practically anything.

From Jackie Kennedy to Blake Lively, Chanel is a staple for celebrities and royality alike —  this video shows why the fashion house’s coveted goods are so pricey.
