I have to confess…very few thing make me more excited than a new J.Mendel collection! All of these ensembles scream J.Mendel. From the drapped jersey fabric to leather trims, to sporadic hints of fur. I can’t get over it — I love the fur stoles on top of the glamorous gowns — but, my favorite part of the collection are the long scrunched leather gloves — glamorous and paired down at the same time! Another favorite of mine is their use of the white skinny! I just got a pair of off-white Victoria Beckham skinny jeans, and I’ve been pairing them with brown riding boots and darker tops (who said you can’t wear white after Labor Day?). I’m loving it all, J.Mendel definitely didn’t disappoint this season! What are your thoughts?
As you know, Georges Chakra is a favorite of mine, so it’s no surprise that I am absolutely in love with his most recent collection. I love all of the bright-colored pant suits as well as the intricate, textured leggings. The white dresses are similar to those we saw in the J.Mendel show during Fashion Week. They are stark white, with a pop from the bright-colored underlay – to die for! As always, all of his pieces from the collection are one-of-a-kind and original! My favorite is definitely the strapless white and beige sequined tulle gown with the full skirt shown in the post above – an outstanding, eye-catching piece! What do you think of Georges Chakra’s most recent collection?
J. Mendel has always been a favorite of mine, I have always loved the understated glamour of all of their garments. This Fashion Week, they debuted their collection on September 14 with celebrity guests in the audience, such as Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen , and they definitely didn’t disappoint. I have noticed that this upcoming summer is all about light weight chiffon – and I could not be more excited about it! The color palette is similar to the one we saw in the Vincent Van Gough inspired Rodarte collection. Both designers used a lot of rich blues and yellow hues. My favorite part of this collection is the two toned dresses with the pop of color visible on the inside of the dress – absolutely genius! I am so excited to see what celebrities will be sporting these classic silhouettes with a modern spin on the red carpet this award season! My favorite piece is definitely the low v-neck, white and cream gown – it has an etherial feel to it, that I absolutely love! I would love to hear your thoughts on J. Mendel’s newest collection.
