Going Vogue. Living Vogue. Being Vogue.

As a 16 year old living outside of Washington, D.C., I am eager to express myself in a world of emerging fashion and conservative style. “Over the years I have learned that what is important in a dress is the woman who is wearing it.” – Yves Saint Laurent

Trend Report: The Perfect Transition

It’s always hard to dress in between seasons. Labor Day has passed, but it’s not quite time to break out the dowdy fall colors. Scarves make the perfect transition accessory. A bold scarf can liven an outfit and can be paired with shorts or long pants. Try shorts, a solid color long sleeve shirt, with the perfect light weight scarf to break things up! Scarves have been all the rage and  they can be used various ways – the most practical and versatile of all accessories!

My favorite is definitely this Tory Burch – the bright fall colors are divine and make for the perfect transition!

Trend Report: Fall 2011

Growing up in Virginia wine and horse country, riding boots and equestrian wear have always been a hot commodity. This fall, riding boots are going to be all the rage. They are easy to throw on and look great with anything from leggings to denim. Try them with another hot fall trend, colored denim, to make the look more subtle. I couldn’t resist to add a little Hermes, a brand known for their equestrian style. I have always admired these Kelly Riding Boots – an item that has been on my wish list for quite sometime!
