Going Vogue. Living Vogue. Being Vogue.

As a 16 year old living outside of Washington, D.C., I am eager to express myself in a world of emerging fashion and conservative style. “Over the years I have learned that what is important in a dress is the woman who is wearing it.” – Yves Saint Laurent

Missoni x Converse

Spring footwear has finally arrived! The long-awaited Missoni and Converse collaboration is finally here. You can now buy Chuck Taylor’s with the signature Missoni chevron print, available in an array of colors. The shoes come in three colorways: white, pale green, and navy blue. The green and white women’s styles hint at the traditional Missoni chevron, while the blue unisex version features a haphazard woven effect. All three styles are available for $200. They are available from  JeffreyFred Segal, andAloha Rag — as well as on the Converse website.

Designer Spotlight

Missoni originated in Italy in 1953. It is a family business founded by Ottavio and Rosarita Missoni. The brand is known for their colorful knitwear — their knitwear varies in fabrics, colors, and geometric patterns. Tons of celebrities have been spotted wearing Missoni’s knitted creations, often clad with their trademark chevron pattern, such as Blake Lively, Nicky Hilton, Kate Hudson, Kate Moss, Nicole Richie, Paris Hilton, Jessica Simpson, and the Khloe Kardashian. What are your thoughts on Missoni’s gorgeous, one-of-a-kind creations?

Update: Missoni for Target

If you recall, I posted a few weeks back on my excitement for Target’s most recent collaboration with the Italian brand, Missoni. Yesterday, after counting down the days, I made a trip to my local Target to see the launch of the glorious collaboration. I was disappointed when I arrived at 6:30 pm to see empty racks with the trademark Missoni chevron. I had been waiting months to get my hands on some pieces from this collection and was surprised to see that the merchandise, which was supposed to last until October, was picked over and sold out! I was shocked when I heard that the launch crashed Target’s website. I had no idea that people were as excited as me to own a piece of Missoni. Although my efforts failed, I enjoyed perusing the photos below of celebrities arriving in style at the Missoni for Target launch party. Were you lucky enough to get your hands on some Missoni for Target?

Missoni for Target

I am counting down the days until September 13th as I await the Missoni for Target collection! I have always admired Missoni’s unique designs and can not wait for the Target collection to be released. There will be over 400 hundred items ranging in price from $7.99 – $199. The diverse collection will include everything from housewares to apparel to luggage, which includes my personal favorite-a bike clad with the Missoni trademark, a bright, jagged line.
