Going Vogue. Living Vogue. Being Vogue.

As a 16 year old living outside of Washington, D.C., I am eager to express myself in a world of emerging fashion and conservative style. “Over the years I have learned that what is important in a dress is the woman who is wearing it.” – Yves Saint Laurent

Trend Report: Spring 2012

This spring is all about bright colors, especially yellow! This isn’t the easiest trend to embrace, so if you’re not comfortable donning a yellow frock, then try a more subtle pop of color, such as a yellow bracelet! There is no need go overboard with this trend, one or two yellow pieces is all you need!

Dior Spring Couture 2012

I’m LOVING all of this couture! Dior debuted their latest collection in Paris last week and I am loving everything about it. Designer Bill Gaytten went for pure nostalgia in this incredible assortment of dresses. The structures of all of the garments screamed iconic Dior, while the transparent materials kept everything looking fresh and fabulous! All of the silhouettes were done up in layers of ultra-femme chiffon, organza, gauze in dark, edgy hues.

“It was the complete opposite to John Galliano-fantasy. It was very wearable,” – Vogue UK editor in attendance at the show

Atelier Versace Spring 2012 Couture

LOVE LOVE LOVE! I can not express how impressed I am with Atelier Versace’s Spring 2012 Couture collection. I’m drooling over every piece and ensemble — even those great shoes! High profile models such as Karlie Kloss and Arizona Muse showed off the 15 piece collection. It heavily consisted of corsets, metallics, hot neon hues, and futuristic detailing. Sitting in the front row were celebrities such as Cameron Diaz, Abbie Cornish and Diane Kruger.

“You know I’m a sucker for anything glittery.” – Cameron Diaz on the collection

Marchesa Spring 2012 Handbags

Nothing says over the top elegance quite like Marchesa. Everything they create is absolutely lust-worthy! Every intricate detail comes together to create one of a kind masterpieces. I can’t help but drool over every one of these clutches! Aside from all of the rhinestone, frill, and embroidery – my favorite part of the collection is the color scheme. It coincides with the dewy, iridescent natural metallic tones we saw in the Marchesa Spring 2012 collection.

On the Campaign Trail

We already took a look at a few Spring 2012 ad campaigns, but one recently released ad caught my eye. Roberto Cavalli’s is definitely my favorite of the season! There is something I can not resist about the sparkly metallic gold mixed with bright neon colors. I can’t wait to see the RTW. One of my favorite parts of the ad – the amazing collection of shoes that can’t go unnoticed! The ad features Naomi Campbell, Karen Elson, Daphne Groeneveld, and Kristen McMenam.

Marchesa Spring 2012 Favorites

I can’t get over how much I absolutely love Marchesa. I am so impressed by their newest collection. After taking a break from all of the frill and embroidery in their Resort 2012 collection — it made a show-stopping return! I love the iridescent metallics and intricate details. I can’t get over this collection!

Chanel Spring 2012 RTW

I had to create a post about Chanel’s Spring 2012 line, simply because I could not get enough of it! Each piece is etherial and light, while remaining true to Chanel with pearls and tweed – truly fabulous! Although I adore all of these looks, my favorite is definitely the  cream dress with the exaggerated skirt and shoulders, topped of with a pearl belt! Chanel definitely did a tremendous job combining timeless chic with modern femininity. What do you think of Chanel’s most recent RTW collection?

Fashion Week 2011: Tadashi Shoji

Bryant Park is covered with a canopy of tents and many celebrities have flocked to NYC – it’s officially Fashion Week. Only one day has passed, and I’m already looking forward to the upcoming spring. Tadashi Shoji put on a fantastic show and I have found a new favorite designer. I am in love with absolutely everything that Tadashi Shoji sent down the runway Thursday afternoon. I love the light, airy fabrics and the metallic tones of silver, gold, and bronze. The draping is incredible and creates an effortless summer-chic look! I love everything about these looks from the hair and make up to the glamorous garments. If this is any indication of the spring 2012 trends – im ready to fast forward to May!
