Going Vogue. Living Vogue. Being Vogue.

As a 16 year old living outside of Washington, D.C., I am eager to express myself in a world of emerging fashion and conservative style. “Over the years I have learned that what is important in a dress is the woman who is wearing it.” – Yves Saint Laurent

Trend Report: Spring 2012

This spring is all about bright colors, especially yellow! This isn’t the easiest trend to embrace, so if you’re not comfortable donning a yellow frock, then try a more subtle pop of color, such as a yellow bracelet! There is no need go overboard with this trend, one or two yellow pieces is all you need!

Resort Trends 2012

I can not begin to tell you how excited I am for the Resort season. From pale yellows to hot pink –it is all about use of color! One thing I can not wait to get my hands on is a little black red dress! I’ve had my eye on a few from ASOS and I’m eager to make it a new wardrobe staple. Another thing I’m looking forward to — LACE! I’ve gotten really into lace this past fall/winter and I can’t wait to make it transition into my resort wardrobe! What are your thoughts on the new resort trends? One thing I’m not looking forward to — more color blocking — I am beginning to think that it has been a bit over done. What are your thoughts?

Emerging Trend

I am dying to hear your thoughts on this new, emerging trend: The Bustier Dress. It’s a trend that not everyone can pull off, but when it’s done right, it definitely steals the show! Jennifer Love Hewitt absolutely rocks the look after stepping away from her usual Herve Leger bandage dress, and making a bold choice, that definitely paid off. As for Camilla Belle, I’m pretty sure that she is the only person who can pull of sequins and hot pink all on one bustier dress, which is bold enough with out the added accoutrements. What are your thoughts on this up and coming trend? Will you be trying it out?

Trend Report

This is by far one of my favorite trends this winter! I noticed it after I picked up these Tory Burch ‘Pyrite’ colored flats. I love this effortless trend that can either stand out or blend right in depending on how you wear it! What are your thoughts  on this metallic matte trend?

Lanvin. J.Crew. Prada. Prada. Sam Edelman. Christian Louboutin. Salvatore FerragamoSalvatore Ferragamo.

This is by far one of my favorite trends of the season. It leaves me reminiscent of Chanel chic. The trend can’t be ignored, as we’ve seen it from designers like Christian Louboutin to Sam Edelman on heels, to flats, to boots. This is one of the most classic, safe trends we’ve seen so far, so it’s worth splurging on those Ferragamo flats that will never go out of style! As long as Chanel is in style, so will this classic trend.
